Several companies have chosen to sponsor S/V Lynx
Below is a list of these kind companies. Most of them did not come to us, we sought out contact with their representatives because we wanted to buy and use their gear, then asked if they wanted to sponsor us. The few companies that did come to us first agreed to let us give an honest review of their product, without any qualifications.

Schionning Designs

Schionning Designs gave us a discount on the plans in exchange for making a video series about building the new Solitaire 1520. And, later, since we collaborated on the design, they have offered us a commission on each boat sold by our channel.

Systems

On contacting Combi about purchasing our Hybrid propulsion system, we asked about a sponsorship and they kindly agreed to discount the system.

Goiot Systems

We decided to go with Goiot for many products, and contacted them for a price. We asked about a sponsorship and they decided to back us with a great discount.

Istec

On deciding to buy a New Generation Parasailor from Istec, we contacted the company and they were happy to sponsor S/V Lynx with a discount on our sail.

Colligo Marine

We chose to go with Colligo for our synthetic rigging. On telling them about our project, they decided to sponsor us with a discount on their rigging.

Alexseal

Alexseal Yacht Coatings has agreed to sponsor the build of S/V Lynx, supplying all of our paint for the interior and exterior, as well as our non-skid surfaces. We are very excited about this partnership as they were our first choice in paints.

Bruntons

Whatever type of vessel you require a propeller for you can be sure that Bruntons have the solution – not just any solution but exactly the right one. Bruntons designs and manufactures just about every type of propeller in regular use today. And that's not all they make!

West System

As required by Schionning Designs, we are using West System epoxy for specific areas of the boat. Due to shipping issues, we had to source this ourselves. We contacted West System and they were kind enough to offer to sponsor our boat build with a discount on their epoxy.

Selden

Selden has generously offered to sponsor S/V Lynx with a discount on their products so we plan to go with Selden winches and most of our deck hardware.

Astel Marine

Astel Marine makes underwater lights for yachts, and they agreed to give us two of their top of the line lights and accompanying elements as a sponsor of our project!

Coppercoat

COPPERCOAT is possibly the most powerful and long lasting anti-fouling available today. Developed in the 1980’s and available to the public since 1991, COPPERCOAT is successfully protecting tens of thousands of boats the world over.

Total Boat

We plan to use Total Boat bilge paint. They generously offered to sponsor S/V Lynx with a discount on their products.

Engitype

Istec is downwind sail leader, and they have agreed to sponsore S/V Lynx with a great discount on their New Generation Parasailer. This will be our primary sail as we sail around the globe often headed downwind in the trades

Vatrer

We're adding a 105ah 48v battery to our main bank, made by Vatrer. This will increase our total capacity to 33,000kw. Vatrer was kind enough to send us this battery to test and keep.

Competition Electric

I once worked for Dan, the owner and he has been a great friend over the years. His company has kindly donated the us over numerous tools for the construction of S/V Lynx.

Thermo Works

Thermo Works is going into a new area of manufacturing, lithium batteries. They compensated us for our battery design and commissioned us to make some prototypes. In addition, we get a heavy discount on some of the future finished batteries.

Ortur

This sponsor supplied our laser engraver so that we may engrave all the names of those who worked on this boat into the table tops.
So thanks to Ortur, you should check out their engravers if you are in the market for one!

MSD Worx

This is a machine shop owned and operated by my good friend, Michael DeRuyter, out of Apple Valley, California. He has and will continue to do welding and fabrication for S/V Lynx. We couldn't finish this boat without him!

Kalkal

Kalkal asked us to test our their boots and give our opinion in exchange for supplying us with a couple of pairs of their boots. Honestly, they seem like very nice boots and we plan to use them on our voyage.
